I wanted to go to the one in August but I had to leave for 6 weeks. How was it?

I didn't make it either.
Just FYI there will be one in January again, he said he'll release the info when everything is confirmed.

The summer run n' gun was a huge success. Lots of good shooters and runners.
The winter run n' gun promises to be better yet. |

It's going to happen January 17, 2015. I'm excited about this one, there is a push for people to bring their M1 Garand's if they have one, however you are free to bring any rifle you choose. I think this is going to be an awesome test. I shoot OK with lightweight rifles, 3 pound triggers, red dots, ACOG's etc... but to run a 7 mile course with a Garand and iron sights! Hell yeah! I'm in!
The website is okrunngun.com. I'll be driving from Houston, it's about a 500 mile one-way trip and well worth it. I hope to see y'all there. |

I'm to fat to run 7 miles and shoot. Even when I was in good shape I was never a distance runner. Is there a time limit on this event?

My pleasure! I'm glad y'all had a good time... I definitely did too. With our system running as smoothly as it has these past couple events and the extra daylight we will have, we will be able to open the summer event up to a lot more shooters, and are of course trying to come up with ways to make the course even more awesome. I'm looking forward to it. We will be announcing ticket sales soon.
