with the wildly different prices in gas,(i routinely go by my "cheap" station and it might be 10 cents a gallon( !! )cheaper than others, same co, same day ) between various 7-11's i wonder if the local stores aren't franchised from this Brown family, not from the Southland Corporation?
125 stores owned by one company would be a tall order to manage.
if they are franchised, that would give each store in the franchise some leeway as to their policies, unless of course the word came down from the top.

If you are going to boycott but don't tell the owners why you are boycotting, it is a silent protest and means nothing. And if enough people don't boycott to affect their revenues, it is also meaningless.

The 711 nearest me (89th and May) has one of these signs, but you'd never notice it unless you're looking at your feet. It's placed on the bottom of the glass door, just above the frame. I mentioned the positioning to the clerk, and he said "thats where I was told to put it". Odd placement for any regulatory sign, IMHO.

My work lets me walk around with machine guns, ain't worried there. And while I have no choice but to follow the letter of the law when it comes to schools, court houses, and the like, I do have a choice where my spending money goes. But, I suppose you might be the type that just bitches about situations that you can't immediately control instead of taking steps to try and change them.
