So, what's to stop the Federal gubment from saying: "In order to ensure public safety and health, and as part of our newly initiated healthcare program, private citizens are now required to pay a $5,000 yearly tax per firearm, for ownership of one or more firearm(s). Failure to comply will result in a fine of $15,000 and not more than $50,000 and/or imprisonment for up to (2) years."
This could be done in a heartbeat with the unconstitutional precedent set forth by this court. |

It's limitless what can be "suggested" and the refusal of compliance result in onerous taxes. |

We will have to wait and see how it will shake out. Like mentioned in another thread byWingman, November will be our chance to change thing––––if it doesn't then that is what the "people" want.

There is no punishment, no jail time and no asset seizure for refusal to pay this "tax" since the actual law does not call it a tax. Only Justice Roberts called it a tax. This was a bad ruling by the supreme court since they ruled it constitutional under tax laws but it was argued by the White House under Commerce laws, which the court found to be unconstitutional.
If you have a tax refund due but refuse to get helath insurance, they will take the penalty out of your return. This sounds bad upfront but this "tax" will be Obama's undoing. Can you say "largest tax increase in human history"? And the SC ruled states can opt out of the whole deal and not loose federal medicaid funds. |
