THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I had a revolver delivered to me this week (see the C&R page), and when the driver range the doorbell, I answered. He handed me the box, had me sign, and walked a way, pausing about 30 feet from my door, he said "You last name is X, right?". I affirmed this, but then got to thinking, I could've been any fool that was in that house. I wonder if that's happened to others that order firearms on their FFL.

Cant say for sure. I have a "deal" worked out with my UPS guy Not gonna discuss it here though. I usually only have issues with UPS when he's off for one reason or another.

Do you look old? UPS thinks so!

When I've had a C&R delivery they just dumped it, but I've lived here a long time and get quite a few deliveries, I've NEVER had them ask for ID.

One look at this old fart, they would never believe I was too young to get something!

I'm on a first name basis with my driver and his sub.
Neither has ever asked.

I'm less concerned about the age thing, and more concerned that they handed me a package containing a firearm without first verifying my name. My last purchase was just left on the doorstep, so if someone had walked off with that, they would've had a nice Chinese T53

If I remember correctly, the C&R shipments were left on the porch, they just rang the doorbell to let me know it was there, I may not be remembering correctly because I don't buy C&R guns that often, just once in a while.

The T53 is the finest weapon the chinese didn't design or originally have their own equipment to manufacture!

Typically your UPS guy has no clue what is in the box. If the board does not prompt him to get a signature, it will get left on the porch.

If you get a lot of guns and ammo get on a first name basis with your guy. Most drivers will go out of their way to help the customers that make a little effort to make things easier.

Chuck

In your case I'm guessing the poor guy just wants to get away from your house as quickly as possible.
