He was not old enough to buy a knife sharpener. I am pissed. It is too late to mess with it tonight, but I am calling corporate tomorrow. It is the one on Broadway in Edmond. If this is corporate policy they have lost my business.

I never knew there was a minimum age to buy a knife sharpener.

lack of common sense at academy

I live near the state line up here in NE Oklahoma, near Joplin, Mo. I was looking for a .22 cal AR and decided to check our the Academy up there.

The had Colt and S&W and were very helpfull and polite, letting me fondle each one. I could tell he didnt know a lot about them when he told me that I could use the lower on the Colt with any cal of upper.

They look the same from the outside but the insides are quite a bit different. ANyways, I decided on the Colt. I mentioned that I was from Oklahoma but told him that didnt matter with long guns.

He then told me that he knew I couldnt purchase pistol grip shotguns out of state and he would have to check with his manager to see if I could buy a pistol grip rifle???

I told him that I could buy any long gun in his store, pistol grip or otherwise, and told him to go ask his manager to satisfy himself. He came back with the rifle and he told me that I was right.

The manager came out with the forms and I had a pleasant chat with him while doing the instant background check. I can understand someone being a little overcautios with gun sales but totaly disagree with the policy on knife sharpeners!

That is just crazy. It makes me wonder what their policy on knives is. Do you have to be 18 to purchase a knife there?
