I went today. Will be back with a buddy tomorrow

Prices are way too high.  Colt 6920s for over $1200.  I think I just got a CDNN flier for the same rifles for $750

Most brass cased 9mm was $13/box of 50. I stopped at the Walmart across the street for TP and they had brass cased American eagle 100 packs on "rollback" for $18.50.  100 round WWB was the same price.

There was also Wild price fluctuation.  I saw the same model Vickers g17s from anywhere from $675 to $799.   Even the low one isn't a deal

I saw more "price matching" signs today than I've ever seen

Gun shows used to be a deal because the dealers saved overhead because they didnt have brick and mortar stores and passed those savings along.  They were also a place where varied used and surplus things could be found that were hard to get elsewhere.  Those days are no more.  Blame the internet, blame Obama, I don't know.  But this show is a shadow of what it was the first time I went 12 years ago

There was an announcement (more of a pep talk, actually) this morning saying that compared to last year, attendance was down by about 360 on Friday, and up by 16 on Saturday. Overall, it was a super slow show.

I went trying to find something more compact for IWB for the summer.  I normally carry a P232 when it's hot, but have been rethinking it lately.  I was there Saturday going back and forth between 3 pistols and finally just walked out because I couldn't decide.  Thought about it last night and decided screw it.  Went back today and bought 2 of the 3.

Price was whatever.  Decent enough.

And yeah, vendors said it was pretty slow, perhaps due to the weather.  I hadn't realized NGS is back in July too, so one vendor guessed it was going to be even slower since it is only 6 or so weeks after this one.  Oh well, maybe I'll go back and pick up that third pistol I was thinking about.  I am getting too old to settle.

I got a good price on a case of disaster MREs, and the pickle dealer had really good stuffed hot peppers.  Since that's the highlight of the show by me, that may well tell you something.
