the roof is engineered roof trusses Depending on how custom vs. stock the trusses are it can be a real PITA to analyze them. Larger manufacturer's of stock trusses often go so far as to use different grades of lumber for different pieces in the truss based on the specs they are trying to hit. No matter what you want to go light on any additional loading on the bottom plate. Some designs can barely take a single layer of drywall. |

I guess I'll just look some up on Angies list and call around. |
