So I need to add some storage to my house and want to consult with a Structural Engineer about adding sheeting in the attic, but the roof is engineered roof trusses.  I'm getting mixed results from web searches on what is safe and what isn't.  Anyone in the HTF have experience with this or know someone I should talk to?

Thanks,
Dave

Depending on how custom vs. stock the trusses are it can be a real PITA to analyze them.

Larger manufacturer's of stock trusses often go so far as to use different grades of lumber for different pieces in the truss based on the specs they are trying to hit.

No matter what you want to go light on any additional loading on the bottom plate.

Some designs can barely take a single layer of drywall.

That is pretty much what I've seen online as well.  I guess I'll just look some up on Angies list and call around.
