Let's do this!

Lobby Day is when VCDL goes down to Richmond and lobbies our legislators to vote for pro-gun legislation and vote against anti-gun legislation.

Here is what it looks like:
What is VCDL Lobby day like?

As an Executive Member of VCDL I have been going now for over a decade.

THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO FIGHT FOR YOUR 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS IN THE COMMONWEALTH THAN BY BEING THERE!

Every year, the amount of VCDL's members attending DWARF the other lobbyists, (and yes, Bloomburg will have his paid anti-2nd Amendment Goons there), by no small margin.

I want this year to be no different!

It is always invigorating to see the power VCDL has in Richmond.

That power is YOU!

Come join me and fight for your 2nd Amendment Rights!

From VCDL:

"VCDL will hold its annual Lobby Day on Monday, January 16, 2017 starting at 8:00 AM!  Lobby Day is held at the General Assembly Building, located at 9th and Broad Streets in Richmond.  Just look for a sea of people wearing a bright orange "Guns Save lives" stickers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an educational family outing.  Schools are closed for the holiday and youngsters will get a first hand look at how the legislative process works.  Plan ahead -- take off work and bring family and friends!

People are assigned to groups and enter the General Assembly Building to lobby for gun bills.  Each group will have veterans, so don't worry if you never done any lobbying.

Each team will have a copy of VCDL's 2017 Gun Bill Analysis which describes our position on the gun bills in front of the General Assembly.

At 11 AM we will have a rally at the Bell Tower, just down the hill from the General Assembly (near the intersection of Bank St. and 9th Ave.)  Various speakers will address the crowd, with the rally and Lobby Day ending at noon.  Actual times and speakers will be announced closer to the event via our VA-ALERT.  If you are not signed up for this free service you may do so here.

If you have a concealed handgun permit you can carry in the General Assembly Building and in the Capitol.  The Governor's ban on concealed carry in state agencies does NOT apply.

Glad to see folks organizing meet ups on HTF, but really this tack deserves more consideration.  For the avg gun owner, the single most contributing action you can do is represent and engage in RVA this coming Monday.  It's a Federal holiday, Richmond is so easy to travel to and around, and this is a prime networking opportunity.
