I've been twice with a Jeep club when I lived in Fredericksburg. It was a lot of fun, but I think the truly muddy parts are all closed now.

A Jeeper came through and told me there were two new gates installed, one at each entrance to the private land. The gates were so new that they had t even been painted yet. Shoe Creek is closed. Jeep clubs and some locals ruined it for the rest of us by wheeling on the guy's private land.

I saw a group of locals in Cherokees ripping the trail closed signs out of the ground that the Rangers had put up. I told them it will be people like you who will ruin it for everyone. They just gave me a blank look.
