Live in Loudoun, will drive though. Inherited a nice M1 Carbine I would like them to check out before I take it out. Need some other work done too.

TIA

I would talk to Robb at VA Arms (Manassas), Jim at Blue Ridge (Chantilly), and Luis at Sterling Arsenal (Sterling) and see if they can help.

I have personally dealt with Jim at Blue Ridge (Chantilly) and Joe at Bullseye Arms.  Good experiences with both, and I'd recommend either.

If you go to the gun show in Richmond, you can take it to Gus's Garands. He'll do an inspection of it while you are at the show. He is a retired USMC MSgt 2112 and knows a lot about carbines, garands, etc...

I've only dealt with Rob at VA Arms and he does good work.

The one time I went to have work done on my 1911 I was told by VA arms their guy is not a gunsmith, he is a armorer.  That limits him on what he can actually perform.
