Anyone here planning on going?

I hope to get there early Saturday.

It ought to be interesting with everything that's going on.

The last few times I have been, it has been a waste of time full of overpriced shit. Probably won't be going as I have to watch my 10 mo old.

Wow.

It seems like every thread that gets started about the Roanoke or Salem gun-shows always has words like sucked, waste of time, over-priced, and idiots
Scattered throughout it.

I'll admit that I had started thinking this way myself around 5 years ago.

Then I had a friend call me out of the blue about two years ago asking questions about guns, who had never wanted anything to do with guns.

He became engulfed in them learning everything he could.

I took him to his first gun-show and he looked like a kid in a toy store at Christmas. It was an amazing sight. And the feeling rubbed off on me.

I realized the gun-shows weren't crappy, I was.

Other than QT and a few other localish gun shops who will be there, it has become one of those shows infested with Chinese crap, ratty WW2 memorabilia, beef jerky, and miscellaneous junk shows.

Do you have any of the military discount 9mm Shields without the safety with you?

I also need to find a Smith and Wesson Model 17 or 18 .22 revolver. I might see if I can't sell or trade some M855 for one.

Unless someone calls in advance and arranges a pick-up, we don't take any of the LE/Military S&W guns to shows.

If someone calls/e-mails in advance, we are happy to bring whatever they want.

I admit, I went to the show today. I saw your table there.

I wasn't so much in the market to buy anything though as much as I was trying to sell or trade a gun. And holy over priced 62 gr., etc 5.56 ammo. I guess I expected this though, but man. Everyone had it and I bet no one sold any. Prices were crazy!!!

Yowza!

$400.00 for a 420 ammo can of m855.

$650.00 for 1k rounds of m855.

This was an awesome gun-show!

I was happy I went though. I got some really good deals on 7.62 x 39.
