He's 15.  This is him winning states last year.  I was pretty proud (still am).

He won again!  2X State Champ as a sophomore.

Nobody scored on him.

Him (on the left) and his cousin who took third.  These two have spent thousands and thousands of hours and miles together.

Impressive!  To be a sophmore with 2 state titles is really something.  Who does he wrestle for (who are the Eagles, I assume)?

Clarke County, out in the sticks.  We are in the Shenandoah Valley.

Thanks for your kind comments, he works hard.

Wow. That's impressive! With 2 state championships and two years left to go, he's got a good shot at a scholarship for college!

I wrestled 142 and 145 in high school.

Thanks, he went up two weight classes this year, I'll bet he is up two more (132) next year.  His goal has always to be a 4-timer.  He's 1/2 way there.

He wants to wrestle in college.  I'm saving money rather than hoping for much from scholarships.  The NCAA only allows 9.9 Division I scholarships per wrestling team; in contrast they allow 85 for football.  Translation, less than one scholarship for starting wrestler (10 weight classes) vs. about 4 scholarships per starting football player (11 offense, 11 defense).  He has a pretty awesome GPA also, maybe he can help me out with an academic scholarship.
