SB 1191 isn't a bad thing.  Prevents a Mom from getting a felony charge if Dad left his pistol in the car without her knowing, and she doesn't have a CHP.

Last I saw from VCDL, they had thought SB 943 was amended and reported out, but it was killed instead.

Moves on to the full Senate for debate and (probably) a vote.  It's better that the gun grabber bills die in committee.

The real question is which Republican Senator in a purple district were the Dems targeting with these bills?  All of this is for show - the Dems know these bills are DOA, but they put them forward so that they can run campaign ads saying that Senator (insert Republican here) "wants felons to have guns."

I don't think there is one.  My assessment is this is part of McAwful trying to get the lib base whipped up into a screeching frenzy and prep the ground for Granny Clinton in 2016.... that's his sole purpose for being Governor of VA - to use VA government to try to secure the Commonwealth for his bosses.

This.

I do hold out hope that Va can redeem herselft. I saw a glimmer when Warner didn't curbstomp Gillespie and only squeaked out a win.

I would love to see or hear a recording of the verbal whipping that Sen. Norment gave the person from Moms Demand Action in regard to her comments about republican members of the committee. Does anyone know if the committee hearing was recorded? If so, is it available anywhere on the net?

ACTION ITEM: We need to kill Senator Favola's misdemeanors take away gun-rights bill!
ACTION ITEM: We need to support some gun bills in the House 4.  Some pro-gun bills pass the Senate and head to the House

ACTION ITEM: We need to kill Senator Favola's misdemeanors take away gun-rights bill!
***********************************************************

I have finally seen the new wording on Senator Favola's misdemeanors take away gun-rights bill, SB 943, and it is NOT good.  This is the bill that was brought back from the dead, highly modified, and passed out of committee.  It is going to the Finance Committee, where it could be killed based on funding.  If it survives the Finance Committee, it will then head to the Senate Floor for a vote.

Let's get cracking to stop this bad bill in its tracks!
