I just did this the other weekend in Rileyville, VA.

Put in:  Bealer's Ferry:  38°44'56.78"N  78°26'12.38"W
Camp:  High Cliff Camp:  38°46'19.10"N  78°23'12.31"W
Take out:  Seakford's Landing:  38°47'11.44"N  78°23'31.65"W

There are three campsites that are accessible only by a long hike or by water.  They're first come, first serve.  There are vault toilets, but you're better off packing a shovel.  Lots of outfitters use the put in and take out, but overall the river isn't too busy in that area.  We did the trip ourselves with our own vehicles, but Shenandoah River Outfitters on S Page Valley Road can probably help you out if you need.

Nothing bigger than a small class II on that stretch.  I had the best luck on 4" senkos in watermellon.
