I just moved to a much larger apartment in Reston, and now have the room a larger safe. I currently have an AMSEC 5924, and am pretty happy with the manufacturer. Can somebody recommend a good AMSEC dealer around my area? Also, do safe dealers take trade-ins? Thanks!

I would check out Steve's Services out of Vienna, Va. 703-573-4394 or 1-888-416-7226. He might not be a AMSEC dealer, but may have some used, or equivalent in another line. He's not far from Reston and usually at the Funshows in the area.

ETA: Second if your interested in trading up

Thanks! Steve's Services seems to have some happy customers, according to this site, so I think I'll check him out. I'll PM/email you guys if I trade up. This move has cost me a lot of money so far, so it may be a few months before I order something new. Thanks!

BTW, I had a somewhat negative experience with Baldino's in Alexandria when I was shopping for my current safe. I showed them my AMSEC estimate from another dealer. The salesman laughed, and said he'd be able to "blow that price away". He then proceeded to try to sell me a Liberty safe that was larger and 30% more expensive. I walked out of there scratching my head, feeling like I just dealt with a used car salesman!
