Headed up to ANC tomorrow morning to visit with a friend who is now a permanent resident. I haven't been there since grade school and honestly barely remember the trip anyway. Anything that I should make time to see?

You can see the pointed Southern casualty markers up towards the secondary entrance off of Fort Myer. The standard headstones are rounded, but the CSA casualties have pointed headstones supposedly to keep those damn Yankees from sitting on their graves.

If you hang a left right after leaving the visitors center, you'll head towards the OEF/OIF section. Head towards Section 60 and you'll find it.

West of the Tomb of Unknowns are the three memorials to the space shuttles we've lost. West from there is the Mast of the Maine.

Northeast from the Tomb and Mast is the Arlington House, nice to look at and the best view of DC from the cemetary. It's also located next to the old amphitheatre that the President gave his speeches at before the one was competed next to the Tomb.

Keep your eyes open for standard head markers with gold inlay in the text. These are Medal of Honor winners.
I equate GD as the Westboro Baptist Church of arfcom: fun to mess with on occasion, full of ignorant bastards, and they always try to turn a good thing into something bad.
