ETA redux:  Anyone going to do the "Crush'n Clays" event?  Looks like fun, and for a good cause.  I'm going to try to make this one.





 

You looking for IDPA?  NCRR does two shoots a month i believe plus a bowling pin match or two.

Rivanna Rifle club does IDPA matches every month.  They are located in Charlotseville, VA.  Right in the Culpeper area.

Though it seems far.... York Isaac walton league in York, PA also does some outstanding matches.  They just had a 3 man 3 gun match.  Excellent group of shooters and a good match.  Here is their schedule.  They are just 2 hours from me.  Just as long as it takes me to get to Culpeper, which I go to a few times a month.  Though not in VA/MD/WV, they are right on the border of PA and MD !

SASS (Cowboy Action)

The Mattaponi Sundowners is a SASS affiliated Posse that shoots at the West Point Gun Club in West Point, VA on the 3rd  Sunday  and/or the 4th Saturday each month(see schedule below).  For Sunday shoots, registration starts at 11:00, shooter’s meeting at noon, start shooting at 12:30.  For Saturday shoots, registration starts at 8:30, shooter's meeting at 9:30, start shooting at 10:00.

New shooters must observe one match prior to shooting with the Mattaponi Sundowners unless they can show that they have shot with another CAS club.  Spectators are welcome anytime; eye protection is mandatory; hearing protection is strongly recommended.

I get questioned about action shoots (idpa,uspsa,3gun) and so I recently put together a google map. Feel free to use it or share.

Each location's marker has info about the match that I could gather. Feel free to use it to add to your schedule or add the link to your OP.

I kept it to virginia only, I may add nearby "outliers" later. Mine is maybe focused on the shooter who wonders what is nearby as you can see the local's ... click on a local and google has a "get direction" button that'll give you distance and drive time pretty easily.

I welcome all additions/updates/corrections to my info, much of which was gathered off forums,facebook,etc.  I hesitated to put phone numbers on it, but I may go back and add them if they are widely known on the net. Also, I have links to sites where those numbers are often available anyways.

I'll add it to the OP.  Could you add the Summit Point club?  A lot of NoVA shooters go to these matches.  The range is less than 1.5 hours from Wilson Bridge in Alexandria - about the same as North Mountain.

Anyone doing any carpooling?  I'm in Springfield and would be interested this summer when my schedule opens up.

Several of us carpool regularly, either from Springfield or from the Herndon area, depending on where the match is.  You are welcome to join us.

Next USPSA is North Mountain on the 15th, next 3gun is Peacemaker on the 14th.




 

As far as I know they don't run 3 gun there. I think the nearest VA 3 gun match ( and possibly the nearest 3 gun match regardless of state?) is run at Southern Va Defensive Firearms Institute. That club is on the map pinned in OP. They are hosting the Zombie all gun matches ... I've never been to one but they seem to be set up for a lack of hassle/small rule book. The zombie association only started a few years back ... I'm going to shoot one of their matches one day just to see what it's all about.

I haven't seen a 3 gun at Roanoke any of the times I have been there, nor have I seen any advertised.  Now, I may have missed one if they did, as I don't go to all of those shoots.
