Illinois Law Help - Page 1

I know this is a widely discussed topic so I'm sorry for posting another thread but I'd like some straight up answers as for the laws in 2017.

Can you legally posses a SBR in Illinois if you hold a valid C&R license? If so do you still have to apply for the $200 tax stamp.

To obtain a C&R license do you have to meet with the ATF in person like a standard FFL license and by obtaining a C&R are you giving the ATF permission to come to your home and investigate your belongings like a standard FFL?

My understanding is that in order to have an SBR in IL via the C&R route you first obtain a C&R license, then you apply for the SBR.

That looks a little dated - as in pre-41f dated, so likely not entirely accurate.

Haven't fully gone through it but I'd hope over the 18 pages they have figured out the new laws as it seems people are still getting forms back from the NFA within the last month.

And yes, you still have the $200 tax stamp on an SBR. I think the C&R license is $30 for 3 years
