[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking for a gunsmith and duracoater/cerkoter

I am in Dupage, I called Gats and I guess the smith is only there on Mon and Fri and there is a long wait. I am looking to get a r700 barrel threaded for a brake and suppressor when we move, and I would love to get the new stock done in Mcmillan Desert camo and the barrel. I was willing to give Gats my business but when he said the smith is only in 2 days a week and there is a long wait it was a turn off. I don't mind waiting if someone is going to be doing work more than 2 days a week.

I had Kevin Cerakote a couple Sig frames and slides. Happy with the work and price. Crystal Lake may be a bit of a drive though.

Speaking of gunsmiths...

Any of you guys know a spot to get a muzzle device pin/welded on a 14.5" barrel?

Try the guy listed in one of the 1st posts, he is in Crystal Lake, and his prices are pretty good.

you may want to check the following :
You might try Carter’s gun shop in Shabbona, Illinois they are great welding custom barrels etc. i think they are closed mon or tues.
