LZ Resale in Spring Valley (about an hour north of you) was my go to for awhile until I moved. Great people and I drove by 4 other gunshops to send my business there

I've used America's Basement, out near Eureka. Great guy to work with, but its by appointment only.

Greg is indeed a great guy, but he doesn't take handguns from private sellers, which is the kind of FFL the OP was looking for. We got it sorted. Amazing what pops up on the EE....
a S&W Hand Ejector in .455 (and factory letter verifying sale to the Canadian Gov't) 
Box of Fiocchi .455 at 15 yds offhand. 
It was worth the trouble of finding someone who would take it. |

Eventually that list will be migrated to the business directory http://www.gunrights4illinois.com/business-directory/ , and then a google maps app will be installed to allow the user to find FFL's by distance radius.
