Just ordered Giordanos.
If you like crunchy crusts, go with Lou Malnottis. If you like cheesy pizza, go with Giordanos. Im extremely partial to the latter... More flavor than texture. ETA: See official arfcom poll. |

I like bold flavor and lots of sauce, meat, and cheese. I've never had good Chicago style pizza. I'm from Portland, OR. It doesn't exist there. It's like a loaf of bread with a little katsup and cheese melted on it. You guys would literally puke. I need to have the chronic since I'll be in the heart of deep-town. |

Lou Malnati's. There's a location in Elk Grove which is not too far of a drive from O'hare. Make sure you bring a cooler and buy some frozen ones to bring home with you

People have nailed the best deep dish places.
My favorite NON deep dish place is called Punkys Pizza. They have a great pizza with vodka sauce and you can add mostaccioli to it also. |

That was the best deep pizza I've ever had!!! One thing I learned: I have been doing it wrong my whole life. I like pepperoni NY style pizza, so naturally I didn't know I'm supposed to be ordering SAUSAGE pizza for Chi-style. I need to give Pequods another try ordering correctly. Thanks ILHTF.
