That'll help confidence with voting machines.

Wonder what brand it was and which party their company officers donate money to.

I've lived in Illinois my entire life.  This does not surprise me at all.

Nothing said about how many improperly cast votes were not detected or if any effort would be made to find out.  Regardless, welcome to Illinois.

“This was a calibration error of the touch-screen on the machine,” Scalzitti said. “When Mr. Moynihan used the touch-screen, it improperly assigned his votes due to improper calibration.”

Yeah, right.

I am confused how it can be a calibration error. When setting up these machines you need to place an admin card into the machine, interact with the screen to advance the tape inside, etc. You would clearly notice a calibration error upon setup. I will be pay close attention to the machines in my polling place on the 4th and will gladly take the machine out of operation if I notice anything odd with it.

Amazing voting percentage N.Korea has.  Something like 99% vote for the incumbent EVERY time.  The other 1% are killed the day after elections.

I moved to Missouri and darn glad I did.  When I have to cross the bridge going from St. Louis into Illinois I say I'm entering "The Badlands."  You see a sign for an exit Barack Obama Ave, Business District where the only business listed is a casino.  Then off in the distance you're likely to see smoke and a random building on fire.  That's assuming you made it that far without a giant pothole disabling your car.

You mean it's not normal to need to open absentee ballots early so you know how many dead people need to vote to even things up?

Remember ghost voting in the 70s/80s time period that was all about getting dead people to vote for Democrats.
