These yahoos will never admit, or they actually believe, that tougher gun laws will stop the criminal element. We collectively understand all too well that gun laws only affect law-abiding citizens.

The July 4th violence? Was ANY of that done with rifles? Any of it involve 10+ rounds? These idjits present 'solutions' that don't even pretend to solve the problem that prompted them...seriously, can we make some kind of IQ test for voting?

Big surprise that he'll talk in the area that had gang bangers shooting each other up to try and pass yet another worthless ban on "Assault weapons" not even used by the criminals. The gang bangers could shoot each other with .22 single shots and he'd still go for an AWB. When will this state elect people that aren't one trick ponies that want to put laws in place that do nothing to curb crime? My guess is never. Wait, doesn't Cook already have an AWB where this happened? Didn't look like it did anything....what a moron.

"If all the shootings are happening in just 6 or 7 zip codes in this state, make this lame brain law in effect only in those zip codes. Why should the majority of law biding gun owners suffer this nonsense" |

This moron has no clue what goes on outside of Cook County. The only reason he won is because the vote was split 5 ways and he got the most votes. Almost 60% of the people in Illinois voted against this jackass
