Where are you? There's a shop in crest hill that I've heard great things about.

Do you know anyone who used them?

Have you?

A friend had them do some powder coating, with great results. I do not know anybody who's had Cerakote done there. But I do plan to use them for that soon. They are the only factory authorized applicator in northern IL.

Lots of pics including firearms on their FB page

Cpc is who we use to do all our cerakoting. Great results.

They are one of the few licensed applicators in northern illinois, and several well known gun manufacturers use them.

If there are other licensed applicators... They are not on Cerakote's "find a dealer" site yet

Looks like i'll be going with CPC.

Just stopped in, as they are about 5 min away from me, and saw a bunch of work waiting to be picked up.
They seem to do excellent work and are VERY reasonable in their price.

Thanks guys, you never seem to let me down.

Girl in front office, which was very knowledgeable about the business, told me 1 to 3 weeks.
I'm not in a hurry so this is not a problem, and I'm close so pick up and drop off is easy.

She said they were super busy right now.
It looked that way from all the stuff they had waiting for pick up and shipping.

I had CPC do a lower/upper/buffer tube/rail for me about a year ago.  I had a little trouble communicating with them and i was quoted a 14 day turnaround time.  They ended up getting my parts back to me at about a 16 day turnaround time but i had to keep on them in regards to getting it done.  The quality looked great (at first) but after about 1500 rounds, a carbine class, and a years use they were many areas on the upper/lower/buffer tube that you could see bare metal on.  Saying i was disappointed was an understatement but i talked to them a few weeks ago and they had me send my parts back.  They re-cerakoted them at no charge (other than my shipping cost to get it to them) and it looks great.  As long as it holds up then i have no issues but my understanding is that cerakote is supposed to hold up very well to abuse and mine did not.  Hopefully they do a good job for you.

Turnaround is typically 2-3 weeks for us, but we do pretty large runs.

For individual parts you may want to call to check up on it on the 3rd week.
