Looks like the same address as HP Shooting Center, which I assume isn't a coincidence.  Where did they hold the non-range portions of the class?

They use the old bike shop that used to be located upstairs from HP



 

Metro Training they use RKA gun gallery in Plano. Highly recommend.

I went to the one at GAT run by Safe Side Tactical.

Well run course, but you will probably be able to find one cheaper.

Condition Yellow Academy in Arlington Heights, all 16 hrs. Comfortable environment, Instructors were well versed, and both sessions were informative.  Range work is done offsite in the morning before the 2nd class at a range in Lombard. Here is their website:

Whoever you go to check them out.  There were were five guys in my class who had paid for and attended a different training class, only to later find out that their instructor had his lost his credentials with the state.  They were out the time and the money!

These guys were awesome! They have a great team of trainers.
The trainers backgrounds were retired Navy Seal, Retired British SAS, Marine, Will county swat members, Chicago police officers, and other trainers. There other business is to train police officers and swat team throughout the Region.

They covered all the requirements that are need by for the CCW. Then they go above and beyond teaching to advanced drilled. Drawing and Shooting from holster, off hand shooting, and various other advanced drills. They also drill you on drawing your weapon in stressful environments and making sure your able to keeping focused. Another drill an instructor will run at you with a plastics machete and you have to evade him and draw your firearm shooting him with the "laser gun" before he stabs you with the rubber knife. They put a very real world perspective on the training.

When it came time for the shooting we used a large outdoor range so everyone was able to line up and practice at the same time. No waiting for a lane to open on a indoor range.

Qualification time was one on one with an instructor.

They offer the classes in Alsip and the cabela's in Hammond, IN. The range is a large private range between the two locations.

They also offer advanced tactics classes too. Definitely going to be taking some of them.
