My new yellow female was bread by Rock Hallow Hunt Club in Freeport. His labs are bread for hunting, Mine has world champion on both sides. She is a little short at 8 months but very smart. Most of his labs will point, my Daisy is no exception she points well. We'll see on birds this fall.

Too bad you don't want a shepherd. Have to find a home for mine.

Yup. Best shepherd I have ever owned. Researched pedigrees for about 2 years before I decided on the breeder I wanted. 50/50 Czech/"DDR".

One more. Kills me having to find him a home but between my local Village fucking with me, and the babies allergies I don't really have a choice.

That's a beautiful dog. I hope you find him a great new home. I'm up to four, which is the city limit in Peoria, or I'd ask the wife.

Thanks. That's the issue I'm having. When I built the house I could have three, but somehow the ordinance was changed over the past year and they will not grandfather me in.

I will keep an eye out for a Lab for you, Tango.
Rangehunter, I believe I know a person who is looking for a Shepard. He is a very good person and has very good kids and is a close friend of mine. I think he is in Canada on a camping trip, though. I will make a call today but may not know for at least a week. Don't hold out for this deal but he just got rid of a dog (it was agressive with his young daughter) and he said a few weeks back he would begin looking for a Shepard. |

I just read this post since I never read an entire thread when I comment. I would talk to one of the legal folks here before getting rid of the dog. I know a couple in Oak Park that this exact same thing happened to and they ended up winning. I'll still call my buddy, though. |

They would not bend. |

I got my lab from a group called Great Lakes Lab Rescue. They seemed like a decent group to deal with and they're local.

I'm here to tell you that yellows like the water, too. In fact, I've never seen a lab of any color that didn't love the water.

Just be prepared to wear him out every day, especially young ones. In my experience, labs have endless energy and it usually takes until 3 years or so before they calm down a bit. My 4 year old will play fetch until my arm is ready to fall off. |

I know someone who is looking for a home for their 5 year old retriever. They are losing their house and need to find a home for her. I know you said lab, but I gotta try.

I am open to almost any breed I want a lab because I know they are active and I like them, I am talking to a few rescues and I will call the local vet, 700.00 for a puppy seems to much I dont hunt, I just like to be outside.

I think I found her this is the only pic so far the lady says she thinks she is full lab. She was found in an abandon apartment someone heard her crying. I am going to meet her this weekend hopefully
