Normally the focus on the Gov is between lukewarm and negative and mistrust is warranted, given past decisions.  This is a time when he did the right thing and we should let him know that we support his decision:

AB 118 sponsored by Assemblyman Skip Daly, will allow members of the military and those who have received an honorable discharge between 18 and 20 years of age to obtain a permit to carry a concealed firearm.  This legislation goes into effect immediately.

Considering that we trust members of the armed forces under 21 with the responsibility to serve and protect our freedoms, the state should trust them with a carry permit.

Email the governor and say thanks
Thank Assemblyman Daly

They can ccw but can't buy a handgun. Seems like it is ripe for a challenge.

That would be a federal restriction that must be changed.  If Congress could show up for work for more than a few days a month and get something done, I think POTUS would sign that type of law.

Will this affect reciprocity with other states?
