I am Looking for a firearm lawyer in Reno to help with the transfer of a gun. It is a legal NFA gun but everyone tied to it has passed away.

Thanks

First hurdle is going to be that there is a form with a stamp showing the gun is registered to someone.
Second, are you related by blood or marriage to the person it was last registered to?
If not a relation, and no other heirs available this gets harder.

Lawyer can TRY to confirm registration but NFA can be real pricks about it.
Suggest you contact Dan Shea at LMO for a lawyer reference.
Very few genuinely qualified NFA lawyers available.

Thanks for the reference. There is paper work for the gun but no relatives or will.

No relatives or will? Then how will you decide who the owner is and who has the authority to transfer ownership?

If you find a way, let me know. Never found a "legal" way around it.

Sounds like he will be dealing with the county in probate court?
Suspect that there may be other bidders if probate is run honestly.
Did I just type "Honest" and "Probate" in the same sentence?

OP may have to contest with local and state LE, possibly the state museum too.
