Nevada: Sheriff Lombardo Issues Administrative Notice Ending Handgun Registration in Clark County.

Yesterday afternoon, Las Vegas Metro Sheriff Joseph Lombardo released Administrative Directive No. AN-011-15 to all personnel.

I do not know how to link a PDF but the directive should be available for viewing at the Metro site and probably at NRA's site too.

The legislative session is over but political actions are not!

Nye county will not be the only ones to publicly chastise the RINO's.

Tonight I learned that there will certainly be a well funded and professionally managed initiative petition to rescind the B.S. Margin tax. (Commerce Tax)
This is not the Chuck Muth effort, this one is less far reaching as it's limited to JUST the margin tax instead of all the tax increases.
Since it will not force a special session to pass an entire new budget it stands a much better chance of getting enough signatures and actually passing at the polls.

Nevada is going to have a "First in the west" (R) presidential candidate forum at Lake Tahoe Aug 22!
7500 tickets to be sold, and each ticket holder will get to vote in the "Straw Poll".
This is a big deal, straw polls in other states are often less than 1,000 people in attendance and require buying a second ticket in order to participate in the polling.
So the actual number voting in those straw polls may be only a few hundred, yet the media breathlessly reports the results and candidates who do well get big funding boost.
THIS is how Nevada will leverage it's mere seven electoral votes to get some actual attention from candidates and also help to narrow the field.
Tickets will be $40 to $75 depending on how good a seat you want.
Not free but not $1000 a plate like so many candidate fund raisers.

There will also be a much smaller candidate forum in Douglas County one week earlier, I think that will be the 16th of Aug. but I need to confirm that.
I will update once I confirm the date, time, and cost.

Later in the year we will have the Nevada precinct meetings which also will include a preference poll.
Hopefully by that time the field of candidates will be a bit smaller.

So as disgusted as many of us are, there ARE opportunities coming up to make ourselves heard without the media and Sando-Rino types getting in the way.

Ultimately we will have an election next year, and it will be an important one as we will finally replace O'Bummer and Dingy Reid.
Instead of giving up in disgust please GET EVEN, bounce the RINO's and D socialist out of office at every opportunity and send better folk to take their place.

A creative idea would be to take your Blue Cards and place them in a nice frame and hang them on the wall of your office or man cave.

They might actually be worth something some day.

Another NRA update.

Nevada: Additional Bills Signed into Law

Earlier this week, Governor Brian Sandoval (R) signed into law Assembly Bill 167, a bill which makes changes to current Nevada law regarding law-abiding gun owners storing and carrying firearms and ammunition on the premises of a family foster home and with foster children.  In addition, last week, the Governor signed Assembly Bill 121.

As previously reported, AB 167 would authorize law-abiding gun owners to store firearms and ammunition on the premise of a foster home in a locked secure storage container.  Further, it would allow an individual to carry a firearm on their person off the property, in the presence of a child, if they possess a permit to carry concealed. Before heading to Governor Sandoval, AB 167 passed the Assembly with a 26-15 vote and the Senate with a 16-3 vote.  AB 167 became effective upon passage and approval.

AB 121, introduced by Assemblymen Jim Wheeler (R-39), John Ellison (R-33) and Brent Jones (R-35), prohibits schools from disciplining certain pupils for simulating a firearm or dangerous weapon or wearing clothes and accessories which depict firearms. AB 121 went into effect on June 5th when Governor Sandoval signed the bill.  The bill had previously passed the Assembly with a 24-17 vote and the Senate with a 15-6 vote.

You could save them for a template. Once Bloomberg starts his full assault on our rights, state registration will be next.

The blue card and transfer was a very valid argument against the FFL transfer requirement proposed by that moron. Now, we lost that and I am sure he will highlight it. We need serious help next year when his push starts.

The Libertarian Party of Nevada (for whom I'm the Outreach Director) is working on the petition to rescind the commerce tax. We are also organizing to defeat the Bloomberg-financed anti-gun ballot initiative. We're coordinating with certain factions of the D's and R's to put together a unified strategy to determine which of the gun-grabbingest, tax-hikingest politicians are most susceptible to primary challenges, and which are most vulnerable to LP campaigns.

Repeal effort here, http://www.nevada80.com/
Just getting started.

More response to the new taxes.
http://www.douglasgop.org/

In case you have never read the 2014 Republican platform here it is.
The plank about taxes is right on the front page, so even short attention span "Republican" politicians should not be able to deny knowing about it.
And the margin tax is specifically prohibited.
NO NEW TAXES!
