We came to Vegas to get some rain and oh yeah my cousins 50th birthday party.  And we got a few drops enough to dirty the windshield, and wet streets and parking lots, but never got any rain where we were.

Rats, what kind of hospitality, we come for the rain and got squat.

Although we did score free tickets to the Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor from the desert crossing radio station.  Pulled in to Baker to get some lunch munchies, and pump bilges, "Hey, Look, there's the van.  Let's get tickets.""  That was a pretty interesting. Free and Vegas are usually mutually exclusive.

Send them west please.  We finally get a thunderstorm and it's on the beach at Venice.  That sure helped the water supply in the mountains.
