Any gunsmiths in the valley thread barrels? Specifically a Remington 700 LTR fluted .308 barrel?

Matt Babb at bentwood Gunsmithing. Works out of long mountain outfitters store in Henderson. I'm no fan of lmo, and matt can have some long wait times, but the guy does absolutely gorgeous work. I love nfa, but all the fancy jobs I've needed done I've sent to matt. Short answer is, for a simple thread job I'd take it to whoever is closer to you (nfa in northern Vegas, bentwood in southern).

Matt at Bentwood has done several guns for me including the mounting of a proprietary suppressor mount that required turning the barrel down, threading, and indexing the mount.  He did the job perfectly with no need for any shims and the mount lines up just right.  I trust him completely.

I've never used NFA for threading, but I also trust Cliff completely and wouldn't have any problems using his shop for the job.
