What was originally an Afghan upper is now wearing a 16" SS Recon barrel ans a Gen II Non-Chainsaw lower w/Non-Chainsaw Noveske Gen III billet engraved upper.

Took a friend's kid shooting the other day. Shorty AR with Federal XM193 makes for some cool visuals.  Makes me think I should remove the flash hider and see what it does.  Maybe look into a flash enhancer.

My most recent not-PC builds.
9mm bolt action SBR and integral suppressed.
The SBR is particularly light and well balanced.
1/2-28 muzzle for suppressor use.

'Nother 9mm conversion.
This one is not an SBR as the cup to receive a suppressor is permanently attached and brings the barrel over 16".
Probably will look better with the can in place.

[Last Edit: Alpha-Romeo3] [#26]

I got a new Colt model CE1000 Expanse M4 carbine last month which I'm mainly going to use its lower half for my SOCOM carbine build project.

In this pic I'm just trying out my older Colt SP6920 Sporter M4 carbine upper half on my new Expanse lower half with new Magpul FDE MOE K2 grip and older Vltor IMOD stock.

I will be replacing the Vltor IMOD stock with a B5 Systems FDE Enhanced SOPMOD stock later on.

Looks very nice, also looks like you got lucky and picked up an Expanse with a LE numbered lower. What is it about the Vltor makes you want to swap it out? I was thinking about the Emod.

Anyway, nice looking carbine.

Here's the same setup as the above picture exept I'm trying my other Magpul STR flat dark earth stock with optional 0.7 inch thich butt-pad which is about an inch longer than my Imod stock.

Here is my Expanse with its upper half, I was lucky also that both upper and lower receivers have the keyhole (Cerro forge) raw forge markings, the Expanse upper have now the Magpul MOE SL with M-LOK QD sling swivel mount and Badger Ordnance Gen 1 tactical latch on the charging handle.

Here is my Vltor EMOD on my heavier medium profile barrel 16" carbine with free floating rails, it balances out nicely because the EMOD is a heavy and long stock.

Thanks. The Expanse is starting to come now with the CE prefix numbered lower (also marked Cal. .223, Colt Mfg. Co. LLC, no QR code, and all engraved markings), I also upgraded my Expanse lower, except the selector, with Colt standard semi auto hammer and trigger, and Colt H heavy buffer.

I happen to also have the Vltor Emod which I'm using on another of my heavier medium contour 16" barrel with free floating rails (see bottom pic above), the Emod is my heaviest stock and also one of the longest, with lots of storage capacity, it's very nice but big and heavy.

If you like the Emod you better have a heavier front of carbine and a rail system to have a good front to rear balance, if you have a light front end you will have a rear heavy AR.

My Vltor Imod is fine and I mostly use it if I wanted to have a short folded length, I just wanted to try the B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD because I also have their BRAVO SOPMOD stock which is narrower in width (see my pics on bottom of page 9 of this same pic thread).

My only two pistol caliber carbines.

My same old RRA A4 RRA 9mm carbine that I built myself in 2006, summer last year with new Magpul MOE SL grip and MOE SL-K buttstock.

Other components are same as before Daniel Defense EZ CAR 7.0 drop-in rail system, GG&G SFG-1 short vertical front grip, Magpul XTM rail panels, Surefire M2 light, Viking Tactics light mount, Hahn Precision 9mm mag adapter, RRA complete parts kit, Magpul MOE synthetic trigger guard, Magpul original MBUS1 rear sight, BCM mil-spec size buffer tube, Colt 32 rd mag and Specter Gear MOUT 1 point sling (adapter only shown).

Pre import ban of '89 Action Arms import IMI Uzi model B marked .45 caliber, with Vector Arms Grease Gun high capacity 30 rounds .45 lower grip assembly.

This particular carbine came from the factory with a 9mm conversion barrel and bolt, display short SMG barrel, mag loader, sight adjustment tool, 9mm and .45 mags, instruction manual and black hard plastic case.
