Does anyone know of a 1000+ yard range that is open to the public?

I believe that is the only one.

Racine goes to 600 but I think you need to be a member or the guest of one (I've shot there once).  I think there is a 500yd range in the Neenah area too but I've never been there.  

The funny thing is SE WI is home to most of the best barrel makers in the world and there aren't many ranges.

560yds (on my LRF) at the Shiocton range about 20 mins north of Neenah.
330yds at Twin City about10 mins west of Appleton.

There use to be a long range in marathon county outside Mosinee. My unit use to use the police range which was part of the County run range, and in between the two ranges was a Private club range.

Wood County has a range out to 600 yds with tgt pits (Shot Service rifle there)

Ripon has a club that does long range(600 yds) in the summer.

Appleton Rifle and Pistol club use to do 600yds, but due to growth around the range, I don't believe they do any more.

I wish someone would build a 1K range around the Fox valley....

Awesome club to belong to!  I use the 600 yard metal silhouette range all the time during the week.  

The bad news is that they closed membership for the time being.
