Has anyone been out this week turkey hunting???  The birds are very quiet in my area.  I went Wednesday, in my own, hardcore.  Saw a hen.

I went with my daughter this morning, arrived late.  With a blind and everything.  Cold and no late morning gobbling.  It was anemic.

If you went how did your season go???

I have been seeing turkeys everywhere driving around.  Didn't hunt this week, but between 3 of us and 5 days hunting we have 5 birds.

I applied for 2nd or 3rd week in zone 7, but drew the 5th - so I have a tag for this week (5/11 - 5/17). I hunted Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. No luck at all. Didn't see, nor hear, any birds. In fact, in my daily travels for work, it's been about a month since I've seen any turkeys.

My daughter and 2 grandkids from MN were here for the weekend (daughter ran a marathon here on Saturday) so I didn't hunt Saturday or Sunday. Saturday was cold, windy, snow flurries all day... so I didn't miss much. Back to work today.
