Made it to the game today with my dad and my son.

My son wanted a Luc bobble head and we picked up this ball too.  Those are my son's ARs.  I thought Spankadin might like that pic.

Sweet! I was there today too. The star wars theme was fun. Despite the fact that the team isn't doing well, the Brewers Marketing dept is one of the best in baseball. They always have tons of fun promos and have really done a great job, especially making the park very kid friendly.

Love the Brewers and will continue to go to the games, but I'm writing this season off as a complete loss.

Getting Lucroy back will help a lot, but there's no way to dig themselves out of this hole.

Hoping next season things improve.

Agreed. The one nice thing that can come from this season, is it should help rebuild the farm system big time.

To the 15th!

Can't win this series, but this is a hell of a game.

The Star Wars thing was pretty cool, my son got a kick out of it.  The stuff they did with the scoreboard was good.  Lots of weirdos walking around too.

Unfortunately, the easiest way to rebuild a farm system is by trading assets, not through the draft.  Our favored son, Lucroy, is an extremely valuable chip, but considering his insanely club-friendly contract, he's almost untradable.  GoGo should be moved, but other than that, there aren't many guys who would bring back the severely needed org depth.  Lind, Lohse, and ARam should all be traded.  None of them are on horrible contracts, and are useful pieces, but can't really be considered difference-makers.

Attanasio is a pretty solid guy to have at the helm, though.  Over the past few years, they took a well timed shot or two, emptying the system, and now we're seeing the end of it.  All I know is that I hope the Brewers are quicker to realize where they are at, and not pull a Ruben Amaro, Jr series of non-decisions and lose all trade value.

Agreed. I think a big issue is, a lot of our trade value is still pretty young, so it would take a large haul to make it worth it. I think we trade K-Rod. He's been pitching very well and someone will want a closer. Lind is gone, I'd like to see Garza and Lohse go but there's no way anybody wants them.  Ramirez has been terrible. I doubt anybody wants him. Segura could be gone if the front office thinks Sardinas is ready. Personally I'd rather see one of them move to 2nd, as I don't think Gennett is the long term answer.

Brewers could trade Gomez if the right deal comes along. Being that he is under a very team friendly deal through next year means he could bring in two high end prospects(and probably a third guy)

Fiers will be gone if he continues to pitch well. He has been very good his last 5 starts and quietly dropped his ERA from 5.46 to 4.06 since May 7th. If that trend continues, he should be in the low 3s by the deadline.

Lucroy won't be traded. He's the face of the franchise and one of the best catchers in baseball. Nobody can frame a pitch like him, and he's a great hitter. You just don't see talent like his at catcher very often. He's untouchable.

That is a seriously cool story. This should make for a fun adventure.

I love the comment in the article:

He has just one suggestion before the team tenders a contract.
"The Brewers might have to rewrite their bullying policy," David said.

Yeah thats my lil bro. He made a couple of other hilarious comments there as well. When my older bro reads it, he might not find it funny!

Just kidding, we all have a great sense of humor. Sometimes
