I bought one at the Antigo FF, before the "panic", for $25. That's quite a price hike.

Yeah, and now it's for sale on some random auction or classified site for double what he paid for it.  And I'm sure people are buying it.

Thats insane!  My 2k projectiles I ordered for $270 shipped from Midway last week arrived last night.  Now if I could only get some powder I would be in business!

I cant even imagine dropping $10k on ammo

Some of the online guys must be getting in some stock.... Finally.

I was just given shipping notification on some 10 packs of 30rd AR Mags, 33 rd Glock and some Bx-25 Ruger mags that I ordered right before Christmas.  (All personal - No reselling here)

Brownells sent out an email yesterday saying their backorder system was not functioning properly and they have since fixed it.  The problem was the first people to order items from them were not getting their back orders filled first.  They were mistakenly (cpu error) filling orders on a last in first out (LIFO) rather than first in first out (FIFO) ordering system.

There are still some things that I have on backorder.... I wonder if some guy in Alabama is shooting his case of .223 ammo he ordered last week, while I'm still waiting for mine from December.

Oh well, thankful for what I am getting and glad that I did not need to participate in the price gouging that is going on elsewhere.

Have a great weekend.

Now, as soon as things calm down a bit and MI drops the price back down, I'll put this on a BCM lower...

But seriously - I need some .22.

I called Dicks Racine & Kenosha stores this morning-shipments arrive on Fridays.  No Ammo on the trucks.

Gander Mtn.Milwaukee- Monday 9am- 20+ guys waiting for the truck to unload their weekly shipment. After 3hrs, the ammo was stocked in and brought out. A complete circus. 2 guys got what little 223 there was, only small boxes of 9mm, and 22LR in a plastic ammo boxes, 1500rds for $100. No 556.

Kenosha Gander Mtn. Same story. By the time I got there, no 9mm, no 223, no 556, and no 22LR.
So people are waiting 2+ hrs for the weekly trucks to unload & shit is gone within minutes.

Listening to these guys talk while waiting gives you a good idea what will be behind many doors when (not if) the SHTF. These guys arent scared or panicing; they are getting ready for something.

Fond Du Lac Wally World has a whole case of Winchester Q3131 20rd boxes in (pricey) and, um, had a case of AutoMatch 325 boxes as well.

They left said cases out of the display case for a little while waiting to be put away.

Turns out the cashiers up front don't care how many boxes you bring on each of your two trips around. Maybe it was the loaf of bread. Or the fact that just because she's ugly and impersonable doesn't mean she doesn't like a little honey too.

"Have a good night sir" <grumble> -- "no, YOU have a good night" <wink> <giggle giggle>

Look what it has come to in the quest for ammo. .22 nonetheless.

I was at Cabelas in Richfield yesterday and they had a shelf full of Herters .223 for $7/box. 10 box limit on all ammo purchases.

It was on one of the end caps about midway down on the gun counter aisle.

I bought 8 boxes (I was there to get some ammo for skeet).

Don't forget, this weekend if you renew your NRA membership at Cabelas for $35, you get a $25 gift card.

This is going to sound silly, but my friend in NV back ordered (beginning of Jan) some SR556 (Pmags) off of Ruger's website of all places and got them FRIDAY!

What are the chances nobody else is thinking of going to the rifle manufacturer's sites to buy accessories made by other companies...?  LOL.

Correct.  If you poke around, there are places that have things the majority of people don't think about.

I've had some luck this way as well.

They're a new subsidiary of McMillen, i.e. H&M who do ferritic nitrocarburizing (Black Nitride they call it) of gun parts for some Very Big Names. I bought one and plan to do a video eval of it. Chemistry-wise, supposed to be harder and more durable than chrome, will not flake off, and doesn't change part dimensions.
