I was thinking maybe we could help out fellow Wi shooters get the supplies they need before the locusts swoop in and buy it all up.
Post supplies and deals that are in stock and ready to go. Mods, sticky if you like the idea -- delete if not THANKS http://www.44mag.com/product/d_h_30_ar15_magazine_magpul_follower/223_ar15_magazines |

Then call your siblings, friends and parents and have them do the same for you....................like I did. |

Bcm had 10 packs of mags yesterday. How much were they? About 180, it was under 200 with tax and shipping Dsg will let you backorder. Their prices are pretty good too, just have to be patient. I ordered 2 10 packs of m2 non window pmags for $100 each on 12/22 and based on how many orders they have been filling I think I should have them in the next couple weeks. Windowed and m3's are shipping faster. Check out the dsg forum under industry. |

Don't know anything about these, but they're 'in stock', so I'll put it up here. "e-lander" 30rnd AR15 mags, made in Isreal, $29.95 ($26.95 buyers club.... seems high for a steel mag to me, but YMMV).
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/30-rd-e-lander-ar-15-mag.aspx?a=1141384 edit: gone.... no longer in stock |
|
The e-landers appear to be GTG. Here is a thread. Note there is an arfcom discount but since that thread started, they are backordered a ways from the manf (though only 19).
They were in stock a week ago (or a short 2-3 week wait). Now it looks bad. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_2_400/229760_Israeli_E_Lander_Mags_.html I've been spending WAY too much time tracking all the deals, threads and stock status across a dozen or two places for a bunch of stuff. WAY too much time. |

Stopped over to the Ammo Box in Sun Prairie today and they have PMags and D&H mags in stock for $24 each.

I really could care less if they want to sell ar's or not, their the ones missing out on the panic buying. Imagine all the ar sales they lost out on in the last month or so. When someone throws that $$ figure out in a dicks executive meeting somewhere the question is going to be " and who's idea was that again?". Its their loss, especially when you consider the fact that you dont see any negative press or protesting or whatever the hell they were scared of going on at the stores that are pumping out the black rifles at record levels. I would be more likely to boycott the price gouging asshat local shop owner who is selling stag's for 1400 and colts for 2500 both of wich ive seen in the kenosha area along with $30 ak mags that look like they were scooped up of the side of the street somewhere in somalia.

Just FYI Dicks in Grafton has a TON of Tula .223 and Independence 5.56. Tula was 6.99 and Independence was 8.99 per box.

Anyone know where I can get a Magpul Moe stock kit in FDE? Cabelas has both milspec & comm sizes in stock in FDE. I bought one there in mid-December. Those with a Cabelas Club Visa had free shipping too, until 12/31/12. Looks like the price went up by $2 since... I paid $59.99 now are $61.99. |

The Farm and Fleet in Baraboo had some .45 in target ammo, plenty of .40, and some 9mm and .38 Winchester PDX1 Defender. The Wal-Mart had some .45 and .40 in PDX1. Also some .22lr subsonic if someone needs some for their can.
Verona Farm and Fleet had 2 boxes left of 9mm PDX1 and a few more of .38 |

Verona Farm and Fleet had 2 boxes left of 9mm PDX1 and a few more of .38 I've been having pretty good luck finding 9mm WWB 100 round packs at the Janesville Farm & Fleet, not so much at the Madison one. Most of the time that I stop by Janesvlle there are usually 4-6 packs left on the shelf. If it's empty it doesn't hurt to ask someone if they have any in back, I was in the store once and picked up the last box and an employee walking by commented saying he best go open up the other box and restock. That said, I've been unable to locate any .22lr. Primers for any reloaders here can usually be found at Recob's Target Shop in Sauk City. Powder there is hit or miss though depending on what you use. They have a 1000 quantity limit per customer, if you're close enough to drive you can save on Hazmat fee's. Otherwise they will ship primers and powder together and also can do Spee-dee Delivery (local to the Midwest, guy's in the white trucks) that only charges a $14 hazmat fee rather than the $27-28 for UPS. |
|
This. Always ask if they have any in back at FF. ...and ask multiple people, they have different opinions about if they want to share or not. Especially when you say "I'll take the whole case" in response to do you want one or two boxes. White shirt managers will get it for you if they have it. I've been to FF at least 15-20 times in the past few weeks and I've been learning some things. |

Last time I was in Waukesha (about a week ago) Farm and Fleet had a whole shelf of Remington Golden Bullet .22LR 100 rd. packs in stock. $5.29/box, with a 4 box/day limit.

If someone really needs some, the Gander in Baraboo has a pile of 9mm. UMC bulk, WWB various of the standard 50rd boxes. Definitely need to be willing to pay the Gander Mountain premium though, 79.99 for the 250rd packs, 40 for the 100rd WWB but it is there if someone is in a pinch. Not a drop of 22lr to be found though.
I didn't buy anything, however I did play with the MP 22lr and think I may have found my next handgun that I need to purchase...stupid display models.... |
|
I told the gents at Midwest Industries that their place looked like a Russian grocery store this afternoon. I then bought some shit to repent for my sin.

Yes, for whatever reason, .22 is nowhere to be found and prices are spinning out of control. There is less markup on .223 on the secondary market. |

Is there any consensus or speculation as to why .22lr is so hard to find? Is it just hoarders and panic buyers? Production move to other calibers? Has there ever been a time when .22lr was this hard to find?

Has there ever been a time when .22lr was this hard to find? 4 years ago same was the same deal. This time people are buying to both have, and to profit. When $25 bulk packs are selling for $100 on gunbroker, its hard to fault them. Sucks when you cant find any to shoot though. |

Eau Claire Walmart had Qty 2 boxes of Federal Auto Match .22lr. I got those.
Eau Claire Scheels had 1 RUGER BX-25 magazine that an older fella got before I could type this. Chippewa Falls Walmart had some .223 Supremo Winchester loads for $30.47. I took a pass. Too rich for me. Still searching... ETA 1-31-2013 Boom to Zoom, never had been there before and see absolutely no reason to ever go there again. $100.00 Ruger BX-25 mag that was $39.99 at Scheels. "I can not cut my own throat."-Tactical Guy to some dude. "Gunbroker... blah, blah, blah...", "going rate", etc... That shop blows, not sure if that is all it ever was, but it blows. $50.00 Pmags, $35 Okay Gi Mags. Ridiculous ammo prices. Waupaca FF has 333 and 555 Winchester .22LR in stock. Point FF has lots of 7.62X39, even Winchesr USA Brand. Back home now. |

Against my better(selfish ) judgement, I will let you guys in on the whereabouts of 3 boxes of 325rd Federal Match 22lr.
I cleaned out the last three boxes from Baraboo and got my limit at the Lake Delton Wal-Mart, BUT there was still 3 boxes left in the case. Don't know how long they will last but there were there as of about 30 minutes ago. I made a pretty good haul today so I figure I will share the wealth a little bit if the time allows. Baraboo also has a pretty large amount of 50rd boxes of Thunderbolt 22lr if a person is already in the area. If someone is ambitious, I would venture a guess that the Portage Wal-Mart might have some of the Federal Match 22lr bulk boxes but I have no concrete knowledge of that, just a guess. Good luck hunting out there lol |

Two 20rd boxes of Tula .223 at baraboo Wal-Mart as of 7:15 this morning. They were just setting out some bulk 45 umc as well.

Remington UMC 223 in at Verona Farm and Fleet. Four boxes of 20rd left and 6-8 boxes of 50 rd. They were just setting them out so probably won't last long

I've been to a number of Wal-marts. Ok, I've been to all of them at some point or another.
Everyone was nice with their 3 box rule. Except Mukwonago. At Mukwonago, they have the 3 box sign. But that doesn't mean 3 boxes. It means 3 little boxes but if they are too big, then you only get one box. Or a combo to be determined by the ammo police. Like 325 rd. .22, you only get one. But you can pick another "little" box to go with it. But not 3 of those, no sir. But you can get a 250rd mega box of .45 plus two very little boxes (the example was .22 shorts). Of course, you can't pick because there it is behind a counter, which you can't go look at, nor does the worker know what you are talking about to check. It was a cluster. Though the sign says 3. But the manager on duty doesn't care because that is how he "interpreted the rule". I asked to see that rule and the answer was they only have the sign they had out but he refused to budge. He then had a hissy fit including "there's 325 BULLETS IN THERE"? That's not ONE BOX he says. Not that he would know a box as clearly his boyfriend doesn't have one...or at least that is how he presented himself if I were to interpret. Pissed me off to no end after driving there. Any other time in life I would have left without anything but I still took by one box of .22. Sure sign times are tough. |
