My old man has been kicking around the idea of a building a side charger ar. Just because. Since I know nothing about them I thought I'd ask the local hive mind. So what are your thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks

LWRC makes one. It's on their R.E.P.R. upper.

If that dude reciprocates I am not a fan. Goes for everything from machine guns to shotguns.

Its like getting bit my a spider when your young and then hating them for the rest of my life.

That's one thing neither of us thought of. Thanks for bringing that up.

Is vmpglenn still around these forums? If so he'd be the man to ask. For the most part OP, you won't find a lot people in this area with experience with those.

I have one on my match rifle to accommodate the adjustable stock. Yes it does move with the bolt, but being on the right side I don't notice it.

That is the same setup (very nice rifle by the by) that I retardedly bashed my left thumb open offhand when I was a Jr.

Had like a 94 front string and a 71 back––LO
L

I was not or am now smart enough to avoid those mishaps.

The gun fighter charging handles accomplishes this without modifying the upper and changing the BCG.
