I live very close to where this happened. I actually watched the SWAT team shooting teargas canisters into his house from my bedroom window.  His house is maybe 200 yards as the crow flies but downhill from where we are at.

Anyway, pretty sad situation, I kind of want to know more about the circumstances that lead up to it. Thankfully, no officers were injured.

He ended up taking his own life.

No neighborhood is immune anymore.

Apparently he's still at large.  But I haven't talked to anyone who's real worried about a murderer on the loose in town.
