Random question about Colorado and Alpacas

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Random question about Colorado and Alpacas

My son found someone suggesting he come to Colorado and wrangle and shear the wool off of Alpacas . Is this a legit job ? Brokeback mountain ? He is 19 and wants to go do this and my ex wife thinks he will end up on a milk carton .

Alpacas are absurdly popular here.

I'm guessing due in large part to the hippy/Tibetan/yoga scene.

I asked the wife about it again, and she said it has been posted up before last year and maybe the year before. They are pretty careful about making sure that they don't spam and the opportunities are legit that they post up.

No one has expressed any concerns.

He left yesterday for a week of training in Ohio before heading to Colorado . I will see how this goes .

If there are any problems, I have PM'd my phone number, we can at least get him picked up and feed him until arrangements can be made.

I don't think there will be any problems though.
