Looking for a good place on the front range (2 hours or less from Denver) to kayak camp. Meaning load our gear into our kayaks, and paddle across a lake and camp in a secluded area. Anyone ever do this? Are there any laws saying you can't? From what I read as long as it's not marked you can legally camp dispersed isn't in the national forests. We won't have any vehicles to worry about being with xxx feet from a road or anything. Any suggestions?

Bigger lakes within 2 hours bounded by National Forest....

Twin Lakes, no roads on the other side that I know of.  Might be a candidate.

Granby as well, perhaps?

Twin lakes was on my radar... Does anyone know if there are any rules against dispersed camping around a lake on nat forest? I would assume not?
