Anyone know fun places to go waste some ammo?

This is a members range but they might allow "temp access" telling them you're looking to relocate and join a range.
http://www.triggertimegunclub.com/

The closest outdoor public range
http://greatgunssporting.com/

Open to public indoor range
http://rmss.com/default.aspx

Then there are a few open to public indoor ranges in the denver metro area.

Ranges seem to be quite a bit more expensive than in Texas.

this is going to be a fairly common thing. ..

Welcome to Colorado.

Hold onto your hat if you look at real estate.

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol club has a wait list you could put your name on for a membership.

It might take 20 years before they get to your name but it's worth a shot.

If you are looking for a Membership only range there are several.  Some would be an hour or so drive for you from Boulder.  Here is one with a 1000 yard range.  The membership cost is reasonable and there is no wait list.

We are already building in Adams County. I had a hard time with paying that much for a house and they didn't even give me a jar of lube.

I saw that, and decided against. Isn't there a ton of public land places where people can go and shoot?

The national forests.

Nearest place would be pike? Or pawnee. Left hand canyon is shut down to shoot I think

Yes but you have to drive 1hr + each way. In the long run becoming  a member of some range is your best bet.  Now most if not all ranges offer different competitions on weekends & week days. Those are open to the public.

Shoot Indoors (goshootindoors.com) in Broomfield isn't bad.  It has (10) 25 yd. lanes.  I think it's $40/mo with an initiation fee (not sure how much, but sometimes on special?).  For non-members, I think it's around $20/hr. Thursday is Ladies Night (half off, I think).

Just to clarify concerning Triggertime. They will sign you up for a Weekday ( Tues thru Friday) membership which puts you on the waiting list for the full membership. ( it's running about a month or two right now.) There isn't a "temp access" you must be a member or come in as a guest of a member to shoot. Great range with 11ea 25 yard and 7ea 100 yard lanes. There is an onsite gunsmith too.

??? even paying $20 per on top of an initiation fee is absurd. If that's ones only choice within a reasonable drive time, oh well.
I pay $125 annually here. .wcfw.org Yes it's outdoors, but i can shoot from sunrise to sunset 365 days, with no "monthly" fee.

Hands down my fav range, worth the trip if you have a scoped rifle or alot of ammo (time to shoot).

+1 on nat'l forest. Look on google maps first so you can have a good idea of where youre at when you decide to pull off the road. Try not to run into a moose, or black bear or else the daily camera will shun you for not lying down in the fetal position and sacrificing yourself lol!

Left Hand was a great place to go to get muzzle swept.

There are a bunch of ranges within an hour of Boulder.

Don't forget Golden Gun Club in Watkins.  Like $165 for a year.
