Surprise - the gop nominated a RINO loser, and he ran a loser campaign.  I was honestly surprised that Beauprez managed to do as well as he did.  He was a horrible candidate in 2006, and he was awful in 2014.

Everything in that article is correct, IMO.

There was little advertising on the western slope until the last day or so of the election.  I heard, by about a 4:1 margin, far more NRA funded ads than Beauprez ads.

Why the moron didn't use the video of Hick lying to the sheriffs is beyond me.

Now we're stuck with dickhead for another 4.

The GOP isn't going to get anywhere unless they can start rounding up some star players.  Lately all they've been doing is sending bench warmers out on the field for the big games.

I was hunting on the west slope in Routt county during the election and was disappointed I didnt hear or see much against that douche governor.  Now during the last presidential election there wasnt hardly a FBHO sign in NW Colorado WTF?

but true. They would not tap into anything .... Just coasted. None of the 2013 issues were touched beyond lip service.

Hey good news, it was discussed before the Nov. election that he might be a good NRA board member. I hope to hell the nominating Commitee does not take that suggestion next year . Seriously, not joking. We shall see.

JTFC.  BB didn't use any of the widely available videos of Hick shooting himself in the foot by opening his mouth and lying or saying other dumb shit.  Tancredo even sent BB the stuff to use.  BB didn't want to win.  He did what Fat Bastard (CC) and the rest told him to do.  We can connect the dots all the way from the R assembly, through the primaries and to the general.  I probably already posted all this rant, but it's worth repeating (mainly 'cause I'm kinda pissed about it).

One thing I recall well was that very often (as in other places) the Colorado GOP was its own worst enemy.  Then there were always libertarians and that bunch around, often even calling themselves conservatives (which they were and are not, sorry if I offend).

A guiding principle to follow is that conservatives who take stands on principle and run competent campaigns tend to win elections.   Moderates tend to lose.  This is supported by empirical results, not theory. This is especially true in elections like 2014 when the libs are exceptionally vulnerable with people like Barry as their national symbol.

I guess what is sad is that even I (a rank amateur) would know enough not to be associiated with the likes of Chris Christie and be relatively mute on key issues that conservatives in Colorado want addressed.  It's ok to have fat guy from Jersey and fellow establishment types come support you, but you also have to speak to the issues that are salient in the fight for our national and State identity.

My family knows BB, he is a nice guy, but the bozo hickenpooper had to go, it's too bad.  He should have gone with the wave.

Eh.   It's just Colorado voters trying to choose the gentlest rapist.   If you voted democrat or republican you more or less showed up at the American rapists society party without any clothes and waved your orifices around hoping something amazing would somehow happen.

I agree that a libertarian isn't a conservative.   Conservatives are every bit as tyrannical as any socialist or communist  they just want to rape a different hole then the others.

I voted for the libertarians across the board because they couldnt possibly run things any worse.   We could elect a dead person to every office in the nation and things might get better for quite a while.

And while the democrats have made a travesty of our country, the republicans showed up and started casting about for anything untravestied to get to work on.

If the republicans were such a good choice for us, who has stepped up with the drafts of magazine ban repeal legislation?   Oh...that's right....rapists don't unrape people.   They cant any more than a politician can take away a power usurped by the government.

My apologies to the decent politicians out there.   You three must be new.
