We will be visiting for a few days next week. Anything I need to know about your carry laws that might differ from Texas?

Glock 30, if it matters.

Thanks.

our carry laws are much more permissive here.  Only thing off limits is K-12 schools, and any place that has security guards with electronic screening at all public entrances.

For the most part this. No weapons signs do not carry the weight of the law

No mag limits for pistols, any places off limits or such.

Just don't want to draw anymore attention while we are there than Texans normally do up there.

The law isn't clear about non residents, any of your carry mags hold more than 15rds?

Just be aware of metal detectors, federal buildings, schools, and any amount of alcohol is considered impaired when mixed with firearms. OC is gtg, and concealed is concealed

Carry on liquor-licensed premises is completely legal. It's being under the influence (a lot broader than the DUI statute) while armed that may cause an issue.

No such thing as a 30-06 sign in this state. All a no-guns sign means in Colorado is "We're anti-gun jackwads and you should take your money somewhere else."

The big difference is that OC is legal here. Not usually a good idea, but legal.

If you mentioned having a Texas ccw permit I missed it but it is recognized here in Colorado.  Do Not open carry in the city limits of Denver-it's not legal.  Don't worry about your mags, even with the optional 13 rd mags you're good to go.  If you have the standard 10 rders obviously nothing to worry about either.

Come, enjoy, be safe and leave lots of your money!

Thanks for the replies gang. We are going to be in a cabin near Salado, chillin and off the grid for a bit.
We'll leave more than enough of our cash there before we leave.

No hassles and had a great, relaxing time in your state.
Salida is a cool weekend visit kind of place. Bars, food, shopping.

The view from our cabin balcony.

We had a blast.

Nice OP, so you weren't skiing in jeans and a Cowboys jacket.

*tips hat*
