Most of them have a basic handgun with one of those international red circle crossed out gun and No Firearms, written on top or bottom. I've never seen one although the wife thought there was one in an eatery we went to last week. Didn't bother her either. |

Important note: In Colorado there is no force of law to these signs. Unless the firearm is somehow spotted the private property owner/representative will not have any knowledge anyone is carrying. IF the firearm is noticed the carrier can be asked to leave, refusal to do so can result in being charged with criminal trespass.
The exceptions are the locations/conditions specifically mentioned in statute; i.e. federal/gov't buildings, buildings with metal detectors to name just two. |

Here ya go, jackass from Police foundation sez CCW would not have helped. Fuck him.
Many theaters, including the Cinemark in Aurora, prohibit patrons from bringing in their concealed weapons they use for personal protection. That irks people like Dudley Brown, executive director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, who said that he has refused to go to Aurora theater because of that ban. "What could have stopped this is law-abiding citizens being allowed to carry," Brown insisted. Lowak, the father of the shooting survivor, also said he believes people carrying concealed weapons might have helped limit the bloodshed. But Hubert Williams, former head of the Newark police department and president of the Police Foundation, said that the idea that average citizens with guns could keep a theater safe only makes sense "on a piece of paper." "Reality is much more complicated. What if you pull a gun out, take aim and someone else thinks you're the shooter?" he asked. "Would you stand up against an AR-15, AK-47 military-style assault weapon? Give me a break." |

What is an assualt weapon? Do they mean a .22 that is black? Or a .30 cal that is made of wood? Is my garand an assualt weapon? I have a .22 hand gun, I am sure I could assualt something with it.
The theater in Rastle cock has a sign on either side doors so I enter in the middle doors |

"yeah i got a lot of this shit from the "respectfully I thnk..." crowd. my le and corrections friends said things like "I know what i would have done" It's funny how the argument changes. CCW didnt help Aurora did it, neener. Oh they were prohibitied? Well it wouldnt help to be armed This has been studied.....when shooter go shooting, 18.8 peoople die per incident when the cops stop him. 2.2 die when the people stop it. |
