I heard from him a few weeks ago, he sounds good.

Yeah - he's around, just not much here for some reason. Perhaps burn out?

He has his reasons, and it would be better not to speculate.

He can respond if he likes, he has not been banned.

This is all I am going to say, and I would prefer that speculation cease, just let him know in here that he is missed.

I will see about sending him a link incase he misses this thread.

Matt has seen the thread, and said it is nice to be missed.

Don't expect he will be posting, but he may show up at a get together.

I really enjoyed his "new to Colorado" adventuring perspective and enthusiasm. Was thinking about hooking him up with some classic easy climbs, but he had that "sign this paper" deal as I recall.

I wish him and his family well.

I really had no clue where he had been. Thanks for passing that along Dave.

I wonder how far he's trekked through the 14'ers? I really enjoyed his post on that quest.
Last I heard is he had taken a job over in the sand box. (a long time back)

Hope all is well

My take is that he was the official AR15 guy/representative.

I remember when he met with COHTF on a visit to "check out" Colorado.
From that point on, for atleast a number of months, I speculated that he lived on this site.

Much due respect to Matt, and I'll alway have my memories with Opie.

I saw him about a month ago, he's doing fine. He lives a couple miles from my house. I think he's done around 12 - 14ers so far. Not as much as me. :)

I'd say focusing on his family and life are taking priority over surfing the net.

I am one of the people that showed him around Colorado a couple years ago. Says he likes Colorado a lot better than Virginia.

Said the same to me when I IM'd him through FB. Basically said that he was spending too much time online - something I'm sure many, if not all of us can relate to, and need to channel his time towards his family, life and career.

I need to tone down my time spent on the net. I'd get a lot more done in my life.
