I heard there was an LDS cannery in the south C/S area.  Anyone ever been there?   Basically I am looking to find out if they sell to the general public or only use it for the church food banks?

Give them a call.  http://www.providentliving.org/location/display/1,12568,2026-1-4-39315,00.html

As soon as you find anything out, come back to this thread.  I need to know also.  I need to store some more things.  I'll be back in the area in 2 weeks.

I had this saved in my favorites for when I get back.  Now I just need to get the wife on-board for some more of this!

That place ir right around the corner from me.  I just tried to call but got no answer.

I printed a price/order sheet from the LDS site, kinda got a decent 9 mo plan figured out.

Last time I called(Sept IIrc) both the Springs and Aurora locations were members or nonmembers with sponsor only accessible.

LEt me know what they say.  I was waiting until spring to call and try again.

Also, if you know any LDS on post (IIRC you're at Fort Cartoon) see if they will take you.  Sponsorship is usually nothing more than having a member in good standing going in with you.

I tried calling yesterday and got no answer.  I guess I will instead resort to ordering from the LDS website.

LDS here...

I'd try to help an arfcom brother out...

I Live near enough to Springs...

Last time I was there *purchasing* some wheat and oats nobody asked me anything about whether I was LDS or not...

ALSO... THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CHECKS...

I finally got thru to directory.  Bishops' Storehouse is open Tues and Thurs 9-1200, and Wed 12-2000.  If they close due to bad weather, they will open on the next clear day.   I still didn't get to talk to a person yet.
