My nephew is turning 21 in a couple weeks, and wants to buy his first handgun. I live a couple hours away and don't know the local market there.

Can anyone recommend a good store around auburn, fair prices, knowledgeable employees etc. (I know Rainer arms is very close, as is another with a range attached but I don't recall the name)

Secondary, who teaches a good concealed carry course around there? I want to make sure he's properly trained.

Thanks.

Brads guns in Lake Tapps. By far the easiest to buy from and has the best prices locally on pretty much any handgun. Solid dude.

I would endorse either of the above listed dealers without hesitation.

Rehv Arms in Covington is good.  They're a short distance off of Hwy 18.

Federal Way Discount is a good place for price.  They can be a little short with people.  Good if you know what you want going in.  Not so good if you want personal attention from a salesman.

I appreciate the help, I'll have him check out the shops you guys listed.

He was about to buy a Taurus pt111 for his first gun.

Pretty sure I steered him to a g19, an FN or an xd. He just needs to go and see what fits the best.

Even better would be a range day to rent each of the contenders.  I've had guns fit my hand just fine, but issues didn't show up until actually firing it.

That's actually the plan, or what I suggested he do. If he listens to that is another story.

i want to love sigs, but they just don't like my hands. 1 range rental taught me that.
