I grew up in Texas and recently registered in Washington. Most candidates seem to be pretty much the norm. Then I ran into Goodspaceguy and David "Jewarchy" Blomstrom and was left with some solid wtf head scratching. I had a chuckle at the other guy who actually looks like Lenin.

But then.....

What in the actual fuck did I just find?

Well at least I'm not bored to tears reading the voters guide this year.

Washington is the best state

How many signatures do you need to get on the ballot? I want to start the Party Party! Running on the free booze and weed for everyone platform! If I win I'll have Van Halen come play at the victory party!

Pretty sure the goodspaceguy and mike the mover just use it for advertising, especially the mover guy, he really does have a moving business.  Pretty smart really.  I've been thinking about running to join the fun.  Either pitch myself as the enemy to dilute their votes or just be silly.

The filing fee is 1% of the annual pay of the position you file for or $10, whichever is greater (unpaid is $0).  So the guys who file for state legislature are paying ~$450.  You can instead get one signature for each dollar you'd need to pay and file that way.  So it is pay to play, or get signatures to play.

Dan Davies is a "Pro Gun Guy"
or so I'm told, running for Lt. Governor.
