Grew up in Bremerton, live in Key Peninsula now.

Used to wheel Bronco IIs a lot as well. Had an 85 and an 87... In fact if you have ever been to BroncoII.org - the server ran out of my parents' basement for some time in the early 2000s. Unfortunately I no longer have the B2s, and just recently gave my old modded Explorer Sport to my MIL to live out its life as a Montana farm rig.

I don't live there but most of the houses I frame are there, just finished one in Olalla.  I live just over the bridge in Tacoma.

Recently transplanted to the Bremerhood, and even though my mother said not to talk to strangers from the internet, I'd be down for a meet up.

SK between Port Orchard and Manchester.  I'm down for a meet up with enough notice.  I'm sure it will involve either shooting or beer so why not

Grew up in Seabeck but living in the wretched hive of scum and villainy known as Seattle now.

Hoping to buy a house out in Bainbridge when I can afford it and commute.

Anyone have a barrel nut wrench? The nut portion on my parallax rail nut is too thin for my wrench. A crow foot type would probably work best. I finally have all my parts and can't get the nut tight.

I have a few wrenches, but none of the crow foot type.

I googled it, and it says "Sleeve-style barrel nut with 1-1/8" flats"

sounds like you need a 1 1/8 wrench. Is this correct?

It would probably work but I want to be able to torque it to spec.

I don't take your concerns lightly but I tend to use a 12" monkey wrench for that application.

After awhile it's not too difficult to judge the torque within an acceptable range.

I do have a torque wrench and sears sells the crows foot for around $30 if you want to go that route.

I appreciate it. I have a torque wrench, think I will just go pick up a 1"1/8 wrench after work tomorrow and get it close. This is my first build so I'm probably over the top careful.  Thanks for the responses fellas.

I'm new to Washington from San Diego.  Cant wait to slam home a 30 round mag and dial in my new rifle. Just picked up a new 45 subcompact and got my CPL in the mail.

I think you're going to fit right in.

If you need parts to get rid of a bullet button I'd be happy to donate them.

I have a 1 ?" wrench I ground down to fit the sleeve style barrel nuts as well.

Keep in mind the toque spec is super wide. It might as well be measured as a  'small grunt'.

Thanks Scott and Stokes. I sold my Cali compliant M4 clone to a buddy before I left, trying to sow the seeds of gun ownership. No bullet buttons in my house anymore.

I went ahead and bought a wrench today. All done, just can't find my damn charging handle... still haven't finished unpacking.
